// Common Issues

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The software is running but not executing any trades Trading

The most common cause is that after clicking Start in the Raider Trading software, you must click inside the 10-Second Bar Chart in TradeStation. The order-enabled indicators live on that chart — if it doesn't have focus, no trades will execute.

// Fix: Click Start in Raider Trading → then immediately click anywhere inside the 10 Second Bar Chart window in TradeStation. You should see the chart border highlight, confirming focus.

If trades still don't execute after confirming chart focus, also verify your GlobalAccount_Broadcaster is configured correctly (see the FAQ below).

GlobalAccount_Broadcaster is not set up — trades won't execute Setup

If you skipped or mistyped the account number step during setup, Raider Trading will not be able to route orders. The account number must be entered inside the quotes in the GlobalAccount_Broadcaster input field.

⚠ Common mistake: Entering the account number outside the quotes, or leaving the placeholder text in place. The value must be exactly "YOUR_ACCOUNT_NUMBER" — with your number replacing the placeholder text but keeping the quotes intact.
// Fix: In TradeStation, right-click the 10 Second Bar ChartStudies → Edit Studies… → double-click GlobalAccount_Broadcaster → click Inputs → enter your account number inside the quotes (simulated recommended) → click OK.

My risk level resets every time I change tickers or restart Risk

The Ctrl + ↑ and Ctrl + ↓ hotkeys (while clicked in the 10 Second Bar Chart) are temporary adjustments only — they are not saved between sessions or ticker changes.

⚠ Note: Changing tickers will always revert the risk level back to your GlobalBaseRisk value. Never adjust risk while a position is active.
// Fix: To save a permanent default risk level, double-click GlobalBaseRisk_Broadcaster on the 10 Second Bar Chart → update the value → click OK. This becomes your saved baseline that survives restarts and ticker changes.

Use the hotkeys only for quick, temporary risk changes within a session when you want to deviate from your saved default.

Some hotkeys don't work after an "Order Rejected" error Technical

This can happen if you were in an existing long position and switched to short mode (or vice versa). TradeStation may reject the conflicting order, and certain indicator studies will automatically turn themselves off — causing their associated hotkeys to stop working.

Order Rejected error in TradeStation

When this happens, some studies will turn themselves off, which you can see in the Edit Studies window:

Studies turned off after Order Rejected error
// Fix: In TradeStation, right-click the 10 Second Bar ChartStudies → Edit Studies… → look for any studies where the Status column shows "Off". Click on each disabled study, then click the "Status" button to turn it back On. Check the entire list to ensure all studies have an "On" status.
⚠ Tip: To avoid this issue, always flatten your current position before switching between long and short modes.
Slowness or hotkeys not firing on Windows 11 Technical

Raider Trading is most compatible with Windows 10. Some newer versions of Windows 11 introduced stricter privilege and focus handling that can cause TradeStation to respond slowly or miss hotkey inputs. If you are on Windows 11 and experiencing issues, the fixes below are listed in order of impact — try them one at a time.

// Fix 1 — Run TradeStation as Administrator

Right-click the TradeStation shortcutPropertiesCompatibility tab → check "Run this program as an administrator" → click OK. Restart TradeStation. This is the most impactful fix for missed hotkeys on Windows 11.
// Fix 2 — Disable Memory Integrity (Core Isolation)

Search "Windows Security" in the Start menu → Device SecurityCore isolation details → toggle off Memory Integrity → restart your computer. This setting is enabled by default on Windows 11 and can cause a significant performance hit on real-time applications like TradeStation.
// Fix 3 — Set Power Plan to High Performance

Search "Power Plan"Choose a power plan → select High Performance. If not visible, open PowerShell as administrator and run:
powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

Then re-open Power Plan settings and select Ultimate Performance.
// Fix 4 — Disable Visual Effects

Search "Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows" → select "Adjust for best performance" → click OK. Windows 11 enables heavy animations by default that add overhead to real-time applications.
// Fix 5 — Disable Xbox Game Bar & Game Mode

Go to Settings → Gaming → Xbox Game Bar → toggle Off. Then go to Settings → Gaming → Game Mode → toggle Off. These features can interfere with real-time input handling.
⚠ Note: The Raider Trading software already runs as administrator automatically. The fixes above apply specifically to TradeStation and your Windows 11 system settings.
